Answers

  1. What is Newsley?

Newsley is an economic and financial news site that's driven to finding the best economic and financial news on the web.

  2. How does Newsley work?

Newsley uses the idea of a free market to get the best news. Articles that are read more, and that receive the most votes get to the "popular" page, and stay around for a lot longer. Articles that aren't read, or don't receive votes, quickly disappear.

  3. Where does Newsley find articles?

Anyone that's logged in can submit an article to Newsley. Find an article you're interested in, submit it to Newsley, and if fellow Newsley readers like it, it will stay on the front page for a while.

  4. How do I submit an article?

Find an economic or financial news article you find interesting. Once you are on that article's page, copy that article's web address or url. Then go to our submit page, and paste the url in the "Submit and article to Newsley" form. Newsley will pick a title and summary for your article. You'll probably need to edit it a little, however. Do on the next page. After you've edited the title and summary so they read how you want them to, click "submit". Your article is submitted.

  5. What is this number bedside my user name?

That number is your 'karma'. When you submit an article that gets a lot of points, you gain karma. When you contribute a comment that gets a lot of points, you gain karma as well. Think of it as how much the Newsley community respects you and appreciates your comments and submissions.
